Implants to Replace Teeth

Implants can be used as a single tooth replacement, to replace several missing teeth or for full   mouth restoration. Dental implants may be an option for people who have lost a tooth or teeth  due to periodontal disease, an injury, or some other reason. Implants are the best option available today to replace a tooth or teeth. They are a permanent replacement and are meant to last you the rest of your life. Dental implants look and function as your natural tooth. You will not be able to tell the difference between your natural teeth and a dental implant done at our office.

Implants to replace a Single Tooth: If the tooth is already missing, bone grafting may be required before or at the time of implant placement. With a single missing tooth, one implant and a     crown will be used to replace it.

Replacing Several Teeth: If you are missing several teeth, Dr. Howard and your general dentist will treatment plan your case to personalize a plan that best suits you. An implant supported  bridge or partial can be used to replace several missing teeth. An implant supported removable prosthesis gives you more support and stability so you don’t have to worry about it moving when you talk or eat.

Full mouth extractions/replacements: If you are currently missing all of your teeth or if you  need full mouth extractions, an implant- supported denture is the best option. Unlike traditional dentures, implant-supported dentures will keep the denture in place and reduce rocking or movement of the denture as well as minimize sore spots. It also eliminates the need for denture  adhesive!
